About Worldwide Guides

Worldwide Guides was launched in the Fall of 2004 to connect Travelers, Professional Guides, Tour and Event Companies, Travel Agents and Businesses throughout the world.

Worldwide Guides now has over 200 professional guide members representing more than 40 countries.  Our members include some of the most accomplished and talented professional guides in the world. 

 Worldwide Guides was created by Sam Cohen, a Professional Guide and Tour Director for almost 20 years, as well as a consultant and owner of a web development company, and his wife Theresa Cohen, a Professional Guide and Tour Director for five years.   Sam and Theresa are based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA.

At Worldwide Guides:

Travelers can find and hire professional guides everywhere, allowing for the enjoyment and appreciation of a destination like never before. Travelers can also find the variety of guided tours, walks and excursions available at a destination and they can find the best travel tips on the web, by asking for reading travel advice from local experts.

Professional Guides (and Tour and Travel Directors) can share their knowledge and passion and find work by marketing their services and expertise to a worldwide audience of travelers, tour and event companies, and other businesses that might hire guides.

Travel Agents can find and hire professional guides for their clients, ask and read travel tips from local experts, and locate guided tours, walks and excursions throughout the world.
